Honoring history was the name of the game for this generational family abode. Because of the home's sentimental value, a tear-down was off the table. Instead, extensive renovating added plenty in the way of modern convenience, while great care was taken at each turn to preserve as much of the original home as possible. The resulting spaces–highlights of which include a living room with soaring ceilings and an idyllic wrap-around porch– perfectly house their inhabitants and maintain their connection to both the original structure and the surrounding area.
